She is CRAWLING everywhere. We can't hide anymore because she finds us!! It's so much fun but sort of crazy too. I never realized how many things we are going to have to put up and out of her reach (she crawls to the coffee table and pulls herself up to it). And it's amazing how many things she can find on the floor. I find that she is my mini vacuum, and it's embarrassing and gross the things she eats. Her first 'non-food item' was dog food, then (VERY SCARY) an IBProfen that I had dropped, and the latest...an ant!!

Like I said i didn't get very many pictures. I've decided it's hard to get pictures when you have a baby and husband that likes to play. Over all we had a blast. Brooklyn slept there and back which made the drive a ton better. On the way home we stopped in a few places so that the boys could fish. Zach is now a big FISHERMAN. He has been going fishing whenever possible. In fact for his birthday he took all his birthday money and bought fishing gear (tackle box, lures, swivels, and hooks). I am such a bad wife, I didn't get ANY pictures on his birthday. I do blame some of this on him though. He didn't want a cake, which usually makes a camera moment. Instead we had root beer floats. Don't worry though he did get his twenty one candles... on a birthday card!!! We also had some friends come and stay Friday and Saturday to sort of celebrate, which was good for Zach because I was working and because we miss our friends down in SLC (plus they have a way super cute baby boy that we get to cuddle). I did take Zach out for dinner on his Birthday. We went to our new favorite restaurant in Logan 'La Sabor' the food was good but it was almost too hot to eat. Later that night we did some fireworks and then had a hot dog roast....

Fishin' Trip

Last week we decided one night to take Brooklyn and go fishing. It was so fun...at first. We coated ourselves in bug spray but we were still getting mosquito bites. I had dressed Brooklyn in long sleeves and pants so she didn't get any bites, thank goodness but I think she was a little warm. We started fishing and we were having fun (I caught a fish on my first cast) and then Brooklyn started fussing. Well we had spent time at my mom's that day and I didn't repack the diaper bag so we had no food just a bottle and she didn't want it. Then I noticed she needed a diaper change but when I went to change her I sat the only new diaper in our fish bait... GRRR!!! So we only ended up fishing for an hour and a half but now we know to prepare better next time!!

Busy as a Bee!!!

Well I wanted to do a mini update because I don't know when I will get a chance to do a new post.

-Brooklyn-
Starting to crawl. She moves her knees but doesn't quite understand how to do the arms so she does two legs then falls to her side or onto her belly. It's very exciting but at the same time very sad. We are going to have to get some baby gates for our stairs! She is starting to laugh more and more as well. Zach hates this but lately when she gets really tired she will look at me and I start laughing then she starts laughing and we all just laugh til our bellies hurt. So needless to say her sleeping schedule is a mess right now. It is funny though.

He is still working very very hard. He found out today that he will have a little extra vacation around his birthday which is nice, but he has no paid vacation left so it will be with out pay :( It will be good though for him to have a couple days off. He just found out that he drew out for a doe tag and a cow elk. He also purchased a deer tag before all this so we are going to have a ton of meat for the winter. I'm excited about the elk! It make really good burger, it's more lean than beef and taste better too. So hunting will be keeping him very busy this season.

Well some of you already know this but I am taking a class from Bridgerland and working full time for right now. There are going to be two girls at work on maternity leave at the same time for about three weeks so I will be working up to 4 days a week and going to school 2 days a week. I am so busy. Class is only three hours long but it still has a lot of homework that is hard to find time to do. Not to mention all the house work that I'm behind on!!!

So there you have it... Hope to post some funner stuff later this week!!

Happy Fourth of July, 2008

This was Brooklyn's first fourth of July. It was kind of different this year. Zach's Parent's came up the night before and stayed the night so they could go celebrate with us and watch Zach at the trap shoot. I had to work so I was only there for half of it. All the people that are my age that were there were all weird. There were so many people we didn't even know. Over all I guess it was a good day. Check my mom's blog for firework pictures, Brooklyn and Zach did a sparkler... I missed it :(

This is the outfit that Sarah bought for her... perfect for the occasion. I was going to have her wear a red shirt and some capri's but she would have been way to hot. This little outfit worked perfect. Thanks Sarah.

Zach at the Trap shoot. This year he did very well, he won in his age division. He was super excited and I was very happy for him. He got chocolate, pop, and a little but of cash!

Brooklyn actually fell asleep at the trap shoot. She jumped after the first shot but slept through most of the rest. I was surprised it didn't scare her.

Goggles

Brooklyn and I were hanging out at Grandma De's house and look what happened...

She was playing with Jade's goggles so we put them on her. She thought it was kinda cool at first but then she started pulling them off her head, along with a hand full of hair. She is so funny.

Bass Fishing

Zach and my dad have been spending a lot of time working together this week. It's shutdown at Autoliv so they have been working here in Elwood, mostly for Roger on the bird club. One day after they got done doing some work they decided to take a break and go fishing. They were gone quite a while but had a blast. Zach was the only one who snagged a Bass but they also got a ton of trout. Dinner was great that night!

Grandma De

The last few weeks I have been working a ton and it has been really hard for me as far as trying to be a mom. I am so glad that my mom has been able to help me out so much and so often. Brooklyn is loving spending time with my mom as well. She is getting to the point that when we get to my mom's house she gets all excited and can't wait to get out of her seat. And she reaches for Grandma as well. Here are a few pictures I got a little bit ago...

The Pool!!

Ok so Summer is FINALLY here and I'm loving it!

My parent's bought a new pool this year and it's a big one. Brooklyn had a hard time the first few times that we swam but now she is loving it. I hope she is like the little girls and can swim like a fish. I got a few pictures but not enough. I'll post more pictures of all of us swimming at a later date but here are a few cute ones for you!!
