Things...

Just some random things that have happened lately...

*We learned that Gunner LOVES sprinklers. We have been taking him down to the river to run and he will swim and retrieve sticks from the water, but we were shocked when we figured out that he was "playing" in the sprinklers in the back yard. He is going to be quite the hunting dog!

*I am officially 37 weeks. I have my doctor appointment on Friday, but maybe I'll go into labor before then? :O) She has definitely dropped and the waddle walk is on! I am progressivley getting more grouchy. I got into an argument with the lady at the UPS store yesterday and feel like giving out my opinion on everything, even if it doesn't involve me. SO I apologize in advance if I hurt your feelings, I can't help it right now.

*Brooklyn is spending this week up in Idaho with Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Mark. We took her up on Sunday and they will bring her home Friday. It's been hard for me to be away from her so much, but I know she is being well taken care of and is having fun. It's weird to go home at night after work and no one is there, but on the other hand I have gotten a lot done and I can go to bed when I want to.

*We had our first ripe tomato and Brookyln got to eat it. We have a lot of little green ones on the plants (they are cherry tomatoes) but we'll see if we get to eat them. Gunner like to pluck them off and eat them green. He is the worst garden bug ever! The only that is truely surviving is the carrots, and I think it's because they are under ground and he can't eat them.

*Zach's birthday was this last weekend, he is 23! I feel bad because his present still hasn't come, but he is "patiently" waiting. He didn't want a cake this birthday so we did an apple pie with icecream, I think we might do that again next year.

*I am addicted to Mt. Dew. I seriously can't get enough of it.

Just another update...

We had another doctor appointment this week and it went well. We are scheduled for induction on August 11th, wahoo! We can still hope she will come on her own before then. She is measuring right where she is supposed to be, however he did say her head is measuring bigger than the rest of her body. Her head is down, which is a good thing, and she is still active as ever. The doc was able to get a somewhat clear picture of her face and she has chubby little cheeks, it's so cute. Can't wait to meet her in person.

This past week I also accepted a new job. I will still be at the hospital just in a new department with a new job description and better hours. I will be in the Patient Care Unit, Monday through Friday. I'm excited for the change but sad to leave the ER. I have only ever worked in the ER so it will be interesting to see how the rest of the hospital is.

Zach this week has started on some more home improvement projects. He has been fixing the prinkling system in the back yard because some of them broke and because we got the garden changed to where we don't need sprinklers in the garden. He will also be replacing faucets and painting some time soon. We finally picked a color for the girls room, now I just have to get my mess in there picked up so he can start painting.

Funny Story:

We were in Sam's Club getting the few bulk items we need (including a pack of newborn diapers) and there was another girl that looked like she was about as far along as I am and Zach said quite loudly "Look Britt, there must be something in the water that's getting to all the ladies, she is as big as you are." Or something similar to that. I about died!!! The girl just smiled, blushed, and walked away. Men are so oblivious!

Brooklyn is doing quite well. She has started to look like the typical 2 almost 3 year old with all her bumps bruises and scrapes. She always needs a bandaid even if it's a bruise, but oh well it makes her happy. Lately her big thing is sharing. Whenever we go somewhere and she gets to pick a treat she wants to pick one for Jade, Jamie, Grandma, Esi, Rachel, Chase, Skylar, and the list goes on. I am happy she is learning to share but man is it expensive. Brooklyn and I also got to go to the Brigham Pool with "the girls." It was a blast! Boky went on the big slide but didn't want to go on the kid slides. It was funny. The best part of the day was when we were sitting in the wading part of the pool and I looked down and Brooklyn was asleep! I am glad I was there so she didn't drown. She must have been super tired to have fallen asleep in the pool. Silly girl. She has also taken up interest in fishing lately. Her ans Zach actually went this morning and caught 4 fishes. She loved it.

Idaho Falls Visit...

Tessa can move...

Tessa has been the most active baby in the womb I've ever seen! I know this is a little weird but watch my belly and see her move...

So there is a song out right now called "California Gurls" by Katy Perry and brooklyn and jade absolutely love it. Whenever we here it Brooklyn will tell me "this is jade's song, turn it up!" and she will start singing the chorus. I think it's so funny.

July....

July has come and now it's half way gone and I haven't posted a dang thing! So here's my pathetic attempt to get a little caught up, hopefully I'll be able to add to this in a few days...

We had a check up of the 1st of July and it went pretty good. I have had a hard time lately being pregnant and that day was particularly difficult, so I let Dr. Housel know about it. When he walked in the exam room he asked if I was ok and if there was anything he could do to help me, I told him I wouldn't be happy until he started me! I bawled almost the entire visit and was sort of embarrassed about it. The girls at the scheduling desk probably thought I was a complete psycho, but then my mom reminded me that they probably see that sort of thing daily. I could never work at an obstetrician office, way to many hormones for me! Anyways, he said that Tessa is around 4 pounds 2 ounces and is growing well. He also said she is breach and that if she hasn't flipped by next appointment we would set a date to do a version (flip the baby the right way). I had the same thing with Brooklyn, so I'm really not too worried. One good thing would be that if he has to flip her he would be willing to break my water after the flip...meaning she will be coming sooner than August 18th :O) We'll keep you posted, we have an appointment this week!!

Happy 4th of July!

Brooklyn looked so cute on the 4th, her attitude wasn't too bad either considering we had to wake her up at the crack of dawn to go the celebration. We, like always, headed down to Hansen Park for the Elwood Town celebration. I had to head off to work after breakfast, but I did get to watch Boky do the children's parade (thanks Pam for covering me for a few). Zach did the trap shoot and actually did quite well. He always seems to do better when he doesn't go out and practice the days before the shoot. He won a little money, chocolate, and pop. That night after I got off work we went to my parent's for fireworks, Boky LOVED the sparklers.

Our garden has not been doing so well, I don't know if it's the fact that Gunner eats the plants, Brooklyn picks them, or the lack of constant watering. However, we finally got some peas!!! We also had some radishes, but they were way too hot (must not have gotten enough water). Brooklyn loved picking the radishes so much that she thinks she can pull other things out as well. The tomatoes are starting to get little green maters, but none of the other plants are really doing anything. Bummer. Next year we'll do better, because I won't be pregnant and hot.

We got Brooklyn a swing set ( I guess it was actually June, but hey I'm updating from the last time I posted :)). It has a slide on it, and that is her favorite part. She has started to get daring and go down on her belly, it's so cute. She also likes to stand at the top and yell at Gunner (who tries climbing up the slide to get her). And she gets mad when Gunner touches her swing set.
This past weekend we were able to go up to Idaho Falls and visit Mark and Tammy (oh and we can't forget Frodo). It was a good visit, the only problem is the drive. Brooklyn hates being in the car so long. We ended up buying a portable DVD player for the way home, and I must say it was well worth the money we paid. Anyways, we got to see the falls, they are so beautiful. I took a few pictures of the temple as well, and we even got a few family photo's (I will post them in the next few days). It was nice to get away and to see them, it has been forever since our last visit. Next time though we are going to try and get up earlier so we can spend more time, we didn't get out of bed until almost eleven that day and it's a 2-2 1/2 hour drive!!
Well, that's the begining of July in a nut shell... look back later for more posts this week!!
