Let me explain...
On July 17th we went to the Jimmy and Pam Howard Family Reunion and I won this cute little bandanna and eye patch from the bubble gum blowing contest (Stefie and I actually tied). I Love the bandanna, however it is a little small for my large head so I gave it to Brooklyn after we got home. She LOVES it! This is the only picture I got of her though and I know it's not a great one but she wasdancing around and having fun (and I won't lie she HATES the eye patch).

This book shelf is in our front room next to the piano. We had Jamie, Jade and Grandma De over this day and Brooklyn was trying to hide from all of us.

I was surprised that she fit so well and it was so funny. She is always coming up with the funniest things.

I love the look on her face in this one it almost looks like "ha ha mom isn't mad at me."

Pool Time

Zach and I got a little wading pool for Brooklyn today and I think she liked it. She loves to play with the hose (according to Zach) and so she had to have that in the pool with her. It was so funny because she was wearing a regular diaper to start with and it got so heavy that she could barely stand up...so we had to change her into a swim diaper. I couldn't believe that she would lay down in the water. It was fun to watch her.

BRUSH

Last night Brooklyn;s hair was out of control! I had it pulled up in a bun and when I took it out it was all crazy...every time she looked in the mirror she would stare and laugh. It was fun.

She is also teething and loves the toothbrush that vibrates. It's a good thing because her teeth get super clean and she loves brushing.









Tried to get a picture of the molars that are coming in but my camera wouldn't focus clos enough :(

Our Smurf...

She's BLUE!!

Brooklyn had some blue yogurt for breakfast this morning and this is what she looked like when Zach brought her up stairs to get in the tub. It was so funny. I just love her little face especially when it's like this.

Just a few notes:

• Brooklyn calls almost everyone "Jamie" or "Dama" (aka Grandma). Jade gets so frustrated with her when she calls her Jamie and tries to correct her.
• She is almost always saying "pees" (please) and thinks that if she says it she will get whatever she is asking for because she is being polite.
  
• We tried a whole day of big girl panties and decided she isn't as ready as she seems she is to potty train. (good thing we bought 20 pair!) On a good note she did go on the potty about 50% of the time!
  
• She made it all the way through sacrament meeting today with out having to be taken out. I am thanking Esi for this because she shared her toys so well!
• We are hopefully going to be closing on our house on Wednesday! Wish us luck and that we don't get writer's cramp from signing so many papers :o)

Babysitting Esi May

Here is my very sweet little niece!
I got to babysit her last Sunday morning while her mommy and daddy worked. It was fun to have a little one but Brooklyn hated it, she is really jealous of other babies. At her birthday a few close friends of ours had their baby there and whomever had the baby she wanted. It was funny because she would let whomever hold her (even Zack E. (the babies dad) got to hold her). But anyways back to Esi...

This picture looks a little funny, sort of like an old man, but look at her curly hair!!

She is usually very calm so it's so easy to watch her. I love this picture!

Ok so she started to get sick of me taking pictures and wanted to be held! I assure you that after this picture I immediately sat the camera down and cuddled her :) She LOVES to be held. I can tell she is spoiled at home!

Goggles

Brooklyn and I were hanging out at Grandma De's house and look what happened...

She was playing with Jade's goggles so we put them on her. She thought it was kinda cool at first but then she started pulling them off her head, along with a hand full of hair. She is so funny.

Zach and Brooklyn do the craziest things when I'm at work. This day they were playing with a lid to one of my big bowls and these are the pictures that were taken, they are so funny.

Chicken Heads

I don't know why I haven't posted these pictures before now but I wanted to post them. We had a great time this night. Zach was the one that showed them this little trick with the gloves. It was so funny!!

The Face

The Face. Need I say more?

Brooklyn is starting to turn into a little girl and is slowly fading away from the baby stages. Of course she still needs us for food, clean bum, and things like that but she is starting to be able to play by herself and entertain herself. She is starting to develop the cutest little personality.

This face has been the start of a lot of new things the past couple weeks. She is also making an O face and can distinguish what face you are making and will try to mimic it. If you hold her in a standing position she will slowly walk (mostly backwards). She has started to play patty cake and loves when you play peek a boo.

She no longer fits in 3-6 month clothes :( yet all the 6-9 clothes are big. She has switched to size 3 diapers this last week and is continuing to grow. She is now on 2 foods and can eat a whole thing of them in one sitting sometimes more. She hates sweet potatoes and peas. She loves green beans, pears, and carrots.

We are loving every new move and missing the little sleeping baby she started out as.
