We gave Brooklyn her first real bath yesterday! After we got her out we lotioned her up and got her ready for bed. I didn't realize I had made her hair stand straight up but it did and so we got some cute pictures!

We had such a great day on Wednesday, Brooklyn was born.
We nervously arrived at the hospital at 07:00 Wednesday ready to get our little girl here. We were taken back to labor room #2 (The same room I was born in :)) and the nurse started getting us ready. She went through all the usual questions (medical history, weight, height, etc) then got me hooked up to all the little monitors.

She monitored me for a little while before starting the pitocin (the medicine that makes the contractions start) and then we were off! It felt like it was taking all day because I wasn't moving along very fast but once I was at a 5 things went way fast!!!

Labor was not near as bad as everyone had made it seem. The contractions were horrible until I got my epidural but after that I was so relaxed! I only had to do four sets of pushes (which took about ten minutes), it went so fast!!!

We are so happy she is here! I will be posting a ton of pictures for you all to see (you'll be able to tell she is our first baby).

November 2nd

Our Friends (Zack and Noelia) got married this past weekend and we were able to be there (no thanks to Brooklyn). We didn't get very many pictures but we had a blast and are very excited for them to start their lives together.

Not Yet...

Well, I'm sure you are all wondering about ht baby... Nope she's not here yet. We went to the doctor on Monday I'm still not effaced or dialated so it's looking like at least this next week. We have another appointment on Monday and we're going to see what we can do to get her here soon. We are all ready for her to make her appearance but apparently she already has some of her parents' STUBBORN jeans. We'll let you all know when she gets here....
