Baseball...

Boky has been asking me a lot about playing baseball. We got her a little mitt with a ball but that hasn't been sufficient enough for the lil sprout. This weekend while we were up in Idaho visiting The Grove's we bought her a bat and a ball. Zach made the handy dandy T-ball stand thing and it's been wonderful. It's fun to watch her play and reminisce about the days when I played softball, I miss it. Can't wait to get her into little league :O)

Flarp...

These are the types of moments that remind me that, yes, she is only two!

We usually let her just keep her flarp with her other special toys but after this experience I think it will be a "top-of-the-fridge" type toy. Would you believe she has had this same bottle of flarp for at least 4 months and this is our first tragedy?
Thank you to Jade-o who pointed it out to me. The total casualties included this chunk of her hair, my favorite Children's Place dress, and the down stairs couch.

Marbles...

Lately Brooklyn has been finding all sorts of new things to play with, thanks to Zach bringing out a few child hood memory things. It's been great to see her little mind thinking about what types of things she can do with all these new things. One of my favorites so far are the marbles! She just found them today and has been playing with them all day long.

It's kind of hard to see them against her Tinkerbell blanket but there is a big pile of them.

Showing off her marbles

The toy daddy helped her make when he came hoe for lunch... OOBIE! Remember my Oobie post? If not click here

Dirty...

Remember the nice weather we had not too long ago? Where did it go? this snow stuff sucks! Brooklyn and I thoroughly enjoyed the warm weather and can't wait for it to return! We played outside almost all day on one of the warm days (March 20th). Poor Zach was stuck at work most of the time, but ended getting off early so he could play too. I was amazed at some of the stuff I let Brooklyn do like play in the sand box and jump on the trampoline by herself (mind you it is in the ground so she couldn't fall off). We had a blast. I didn't have my camera on me so these are from my phone which explains the quality..

.

I think the sand was her favorite because she kept going back to it. This summer will be a blast!

She can Spin...

Brooklyn has mastered the sit and spin! The first few times she did it she would use her foot to push herself around but now she does it the right way. It's so funny to watch once she gets going. I love watching her learn and grow, it's amazing...

She has learned to ham it up when the camera is out now

Not the greatest picture but you get the idea

After the fact she likes to lay on the ground and be cheesy!

How fun is it to be a mom when you have a darling little girl like Brooklyn?

A few more new things she has started doing recently include laying down on her belly in the tub, blowing bubbles under the water in the tub, wearing anybody's and everybody's shoes, she says "help," (which is the newest but she can also say mama, dada, hi, buh bye, etc), and she can find her eyes/ears/mouth/teeth/toes/bum/eyes/nose.

Coloring...

So Brooklyn's newest favortie thing to do is to COLOR!!! She got some very cool crayons for Christmas. They are 'washable' so they don't stain everything she colors on, but she likes pens and pencils more than crayons. She even holds the pen like she knows how to write. It's very cute. It's also nice for me when I want some down time I can sit her next to me with a pad of paper and she will "color" for a while.

Musical Brooklyn

At Grandma De's house there are MANY toys to choose from but this particular day Brooklyn decided she liked this little horn thing (it goes to a set that has a drum, cymbals, and a tambourine). It has a whistle in it and she can actually make it work so she thinks that is pretty cool. If you haven't noticed lately in almost all the pictures taken at Grandma De's house are on the 'TIME OUT' bench or stairs, she is such a mountain goat! She climbs over and onto anything possible. I thought her being mobile would be great but it's not so great.
