Brooklyn is 2!!

It's hard to believe that my little girl is now TWO!! She is such a fun, cute, happy, caring, opinionated, sweet little girl and I can't imagine what we would do with out her.

When she woke up this morning we kept telling her Happy Birthday and she would say back "happy birthday Mom" or "happy birthday Dad." Then I would ask her how old she is and she would say "gonna be two." Can't wait until she actually can hold up her two fingers and say "I'm two!" This afternoon we had a get together with Grandparent's, Great-Grandparent's, cousin Esi, and Aunt's (feels weird to call my 12 and 8 year old sisters aunt's, but whatever). We opened presents then we sang Happy Birthday and let her blow out her #2 candle. It's so crazy how fast and how much she has grown this last year, she amazes me. It'll be fun to see what this year of 'terrible two's' brings us.

Howard Family Halloween Party

This year at the annual Howard family Halloween party Brookyln dressed up as a kitty cat. I think Halloween will be interesting this year due to the fact that when we walked into the party and Esi and Boky saw Uncle Jon in his clown attire, they both started crying! Angie always does such a good job pulling this all together and she didn't disapoint this year. There was lots of yummy food before all the sugar (which every mom can appreciate) and fun games for everyone. Here are a few pics of the night....

I just love Halloween and not because of the dressing up and candy, but because it's the first fall holiday that brings our families together. I was sad that not everyone could make it but I look forward to the rest of the family oriented holidays this fall and can't wait to see EVERYBODY!!!

Mom's Birthday!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday!!! She turned the big 40!
Zach and I took the girls while Mom and Dad went to dinner and shopping in Layton. While we had the girls we made a cake for Mom (better than anything cake) and played the Wii! It was a blast. Then when Mom and Dad got back we sang happy birthday and enjoyed the cake.

Here are a few pictures...

Yes we made her blow out FORTY candles. It was fun.
I must say that I really look up to my mom. Everyone kept asking her if she was freaking out because it was her 40th birthday and she just replies No. She enjoys aging and everything that comes with it (Grandchildren, gray hair, etc.). She is a great example to me and everyone else in my family. She is always putting family first, because that is what matters most. Happy Birthday MOM!!!

Brooklyn's FIRST Birthday!

Overall Brooklyn's first birthday was great. I was a little stressed out because that's just how mom's are sometimes but things went smooth. We had a fabulous turn out at both parties. I think that Brooklyn had a great time at both parties. She got the hang of opening presents so Christmas will be great, and she loved the cake!!! Thanks to all of you who were there or called Brooklyn to say Happy Birthday.

Check out her birthday pictures here:

Just an FYI some of the pictures are really bad quality but we got them :)
