Weekly...
So apparently no one else took my once a week posting thing serious, and I think I know why. Sitting here tonight I realized I'm due for a post but yet I have no desire to post anything due to my uneventful life and bad attitude. So therefore I have decided I'm off the hook. I will post if and when I feel like it. Just a warning though with these hormonal ups and downs I might not be blogging until next year!!!

Oobie...

The stupidest show I have ever watched!
Brooklyn is a late night kind of gal, thanks to her parent's swing shift schedule, and has found this late night show that she loves. It's called Oobie. It's a bunch of hands that have weird conversations. Her favorite one is the main character oobie and her second favorite is ooma. So lately she will put her hand in the shape of a puppet and say things like, Oobie is gonna tickle you! So last night we were all in bed trying to fall asleep and she brought out oobie. Zach got his oobie out and they started "talking." Long story short, Zach's oobie ate Brooklyn's oobie and Brooklyn broke out into tears. She was unconsolable because her oobie had been eaten. I didn't even really know what to say because I was trying so hard not to laugh. Soon after she fell asleep and all was forgotten.

This Week...
So I have been a slacker of a blogger lately so I have made a goal, and I'm challenging you to do it too...
One blogger post per week, with at least one picture.
Does that sound reasonable? I think so, so get to it people!
This past week was kind of a blur for me, to be honest I can't even remember what days I worked and what ones I was home. I do remember that I spent one ENTIRE day at home getting stuff done and it still didn't seem adequate.
Yesterday was such a nice day that we spent some of it in the back yard cleaning up dog poo and picking up garbage and gross plants. We didn't get everything we set out to do done, but we got a start. After we were done in the back yard Brooklyn wanted to ride her bike (yes she can now pedal thanks to Grandpa James for teaching her that one) so we decided to take her around the block. We made it three quarters around the block and she was done and wanted to be carried. Zach said it reminded him of when Kiwi was a baby and I would take her on walks and if she got to tired I would just carry her. Anyways, Zach carried the bike home and I carried Boky. It was nice to have a day off that we were all home, it doesn't happen very often anymore.
Silly little Brooklyn didn't want to wear her pants this day. I asked her to put them on and she put them on her head! She looks like a bunny!

It's a...
Today we went to the doctor for a check and the baby. I am 17 weeks and he said it's pretty obvious what the gender of the baby is at this point. We took Brooklyn with us so she could "see the baby" but she was only interested in the sucker the MA gave her. Anyways... He checked the baby to make sure we had two legs two arms, etc and then he started looking between the legs. I could tell immediately but didn't dare say. He checked 4 times before officially declaring it but he said, "well good news for her (referring to Brooklyn), she's getting a little SISTER." I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear, knowing that my poor hubby is, and probably will be forever, the only man in the house. Poor guy! So there we have it, another pink little GIRL! I can't wait to break out the boxes of baby clothes :O)
A bad case of the "terrible two's"
Wow, what a day. Just to clarify I do take some credit for Brooklyn's bad attitude and the things I am about to tell you. I made an early appointment and had to wake her up, plus she didn't get a decent nap today.
When we woke her up this morning Zach was trying to get her dressed. The conversation went a lot like this....
Z: Ok let's get your jammies off so we can get ready to go
B:DON'T TOUCH ME
Z:We have to get ready though.
B:GET OUT OF MY ROOM
Z: Can I have a hug first?
B: YES
and then he walked out to apease her.
Later in the day after Zach went to work we were headed over to my mom's house to visit (Rach and Esi were there) and she had a complete come apart about leaving the house. I couldn't even get her jacket or shoes on. She kept screaming, "LET ME GO!" So I grabbed her and all of her stuff and took her to the car with out her shoes on, with out a jacket, and with all neighbors wondering if I was going to beat her. I get her in the car and she hit me! I was so mad, but I kept my cool and explained that she will not hit me and I swatted her bottom (with no aparent affect).
At five o'clock Jamie had her science fair and asked us to come and see her project/board. So we packed up and got ready to leave. Jade rode with us but when Brooklyn saw that Esi got to ride with grandma she had another melt down. I was actually kind of sad for her because she didn't understand that we were all going to the same place and that it was ok. She was literally sobbing. That's when Jade interfered to tell her it was ok, and Brooklyn smacked her.
Then we get to the science fair and holy crow it was SOOOOOOO loud. We went and saw Jamie's board and a few of her friend's and Brooklyn and I booked it out to the commons area to wait. While we were sitting out there Brooklyn made a friend. I'm not trying to be judgemental but this little girl was weird. She had pony tails all over her head, her clothes didn't match, she was wearing snow boots, and to top it off her mother completely ignored her so she was in my face (seriouly 3 inches away) everytime she had something to say. Oh and to top it off she was six years old and Brooklyn is two. So they played for about 40 minutes while we waited with my mom for jamie to be done. Brooklyn even introduced her to me it went a little like this...
B: (talking to this girl) This is my momma
Me: Hi
B: momma this is Autumn
and they ran off with each other.
When it was time to leave Brooklyn threw the WORST fit I have ever witnessed in my life. Back arched, hand flying, and mouth open with terrible screeches coming out. So I gave in, bad idea, and let her have 5 more minutes. Again we told Autumn good bye and I grabbed her and started to say good bye to everyone. She was being so naughty that I asked her if she wanted to go live with Rachel and she said, "yes, where is she?" Can you believe it?? I was shocked.
Anyways.... We were headed to the car and she was still flailing her arms and legs and arching her back and all and embarrassing the crap out of me when I hear, "Brittany?"
Great, some one identified me with my stinker of a two year old... Then I realized it was a co worker who has six kids of her own and could totally relate. She assured me it was not the worst fit she had ever seen and that she too had recently been humiliated by her three year old.
I wanted to cry.
I hate these hormones!
We made it to the car and two minutes after I strapped her in she was asleep.
Oh boy what a terrible two day! Good thing she is cute or I would seriously consider sending her back with the stork when he brings the new baby!

Good Weekend...
Just a note this is a journal type entry, feel free to skip it :O)
So I started this post once, but I lost it somehow... so hear it goes again...
This weekend was a super one! Nothing too special happened but it was so nice. Friday started out with me going to work (not my fave) but it was a pretty good day, nothing deadly. Then when I got off and went to get Brooklyn my grandparents were at my mom's, and they even waited up to see me!! We don't make it up there enough to see them so I am glad they are willing to make the drive down occasionaly. It was super good to see them. Also I must mention my Auntie Laurie had a birthday! Happy birthday to her! She was so good to share it with us. She even let Brooklyn help her make a cake on friday night (now Brooklyn wants the beaters all the time).
After we left mom's we ended up at one of Zach's friend's house (Matt and Kassie). Brookyln was tired but super thrilled because they have kitties (they are really 2 or 3 years old and pretty chunky). Matt even went above and beyond and got ehr a laser pointer to play with the kitties, it was funny watcihng her trying to use it and them trying to chase it.
Saturday we woke up early (especially after our late night) and headed back over to my mom's to try and get a few more hours in with Grandpa and Grandma Hodges and Aunt Laurie. We walked in to hot pancakes! Yummy. After they left Jade begged us to take her up to kings, and Zach can't say no so away we went... We ended up spending 10$ on a new Zhu Zhu Pet, but hey Brookyln is happy! Jade also bought another Zhu Zhu. If you haven't seen them take a look, they are pretty cool little creatures. I will post a video of Brooklyn with hers, she is so funny about it.
After that we came home and napped and it was wonderful! I love when me and Brooklyn can nap together. It gives me hope that when this next baby comes we will still get a little rest. Speaking of the baby, we get to find out on Thursday what sex it is! Can you believe it? It has flown by for me. I am excited to know so we can get things prepared and ge stuff arranged. Yay :O)
Sunday we rested a lot! We must ahve all needed to catch up on sleep or something because we normally don't nap everyday. We also played Lego's and went to McDonald's and played (I know). It was good to just spend time with my own little family, we don't do it often enough. Zach and I want to start doing date night at least every other week and I totally think we need to get in the habit before baby 2 is here.
Zach has been so good to me lately. I don't know if I am just realizing it more or if he is trying harder but I LOVE it, and him even more!
Things he has done that impress me...
Dishes. Every day before he leaves the house he doesn the dishes.
Garbages. He has been so good about staying on top of the garbages. It's nobody's favorite job around here but he has been taking all the trash out before I even get a chance to ask him.
Laundry. Sunday he did all the laundry for me. It didn't all make it on hangers or in drawers but hey it's clean and wearable.
Hair. He has been helping with Brooklyn's hair so that they don't have to make special trips to my work everyday, and I must say he is doing a pretty good job.
Last but not least he has treated me like a princess every day even when I am acting like a dragon! I love him soooo much!

March 3rd...
Special things about today...
Today is mine and Zach's four year anniversary. It's hard to believe it's already been that long. Good thing we still love each other! We've done a lot of things in the last four years and i can't wait to see what happens in the next four.
Today I am 16 weeks pregnant. Almost to the half way mark. One week left until we get to find out the sex of the baby.
Other things about today...
Brooklyn used scissors! Crazy, huh? When they would cut the paper the way she wanted it to be cut she would just tear it, too funny.

Brooklyn was asking me this morning if she could have a cup cake. I told her we would get some later when we ran to the grocery store. She was ok with it. We had to run out to meet Jade off the bus because my mom wasn't home yet but when my mom got home she made all the little girls strawberry shakes. Brookyn got big eyes and said "look mom, I got a cup shake!" It was too funny. She let me get away with out buying the cup cakes because she had a cup shake. :)
I really miss Zach today. He is working. We did "celebrate" our anniversary this past weekend by going to dinner (at my favorite resaurant) and to a movie (Avatar) bit I still really miss him today and wish he was home. So does Brooklyn. She loves him SOOOOO very much, infact so much I wonder if she has enough love left for me.
We have nose stealing bonanza this morning. Brooklyn has gotten to that fun age where she believes that we actually have her nose. She steals our noses and goes running then when we steal hers, she will negotiate a return. It's so funny.
Some of the other body parts that were "stolen" today included:
ears
lips
eyes
butt
and her boobies
(because she wouldn't put a shirt on)
