Gone Fishin'

Brooklyn really wanted a fishing pole when we were at Wal-mart the other day and so we caved and bought her a little pink princess fishing pole. She carried it all around the house asking us to go fishing and even started to learn how to cast. She got so annoying (I say that with love) that we decided to take a fishing trip on Sunday morning. We took her to Honeyville Pond and it was mostly un eventful because it was the day after free fishing day in Utah and I think the fish had wised up to what was going on. It also probably didn't help that there were several birds that kept swooping in and grabbing a snack or two. It was a fun experience and I think we will try it again here shortly.

P.S. It made my day when I went to get my fishing/combo license and when the guy was updating my info he asked to update my weight and I asked if I could use my pre-pregnancy weight and he smiled and said of course, it just couldn't remain at 80 pounds! It must have been a long time ago that I had a fishing license.

'Camping'

Zach drew out for a deer again this year along with my dad. My parents decided to go up Logan canyon and go camping for almost a week. We weren't able to go up until that Friday because of work schedules but it was still worth it. Some how I didn't get any pics of Zach in his hunting attire but i got a ton of pics when Jamie, Jade, and Mom took me and Brooklyn on a hike. It was so nice to just be up in the mountains with out a care in the world. I love nature!

She had to carry this stick (sling shot if you will) EVERYWHERE. It made me nervous because I thought she would fall and take an eye out.

She has also become quite obsessed over apples. She dropped this apple shortly after this pic was taken and the only way I could get her to leave it behind was to tell her to feed the fish and throw it in the water.

I love this pic. She really does follow Jade everywhere.

Trying to be like Jade and 'cheesing' it up!

Grandma helping her across the bridge.

Happy 3rd Anniversary...

This year we had a different kind of anniversary, we spent it as a family instead of as a couple (well most of it anyways). Zach managed to get the day off from work and so we planned to head south.

First we went to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was so cool! There were tons of little kids there but over all I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. Brooklyn loved the fish and loved watching all the little kids that were there too. They had a few different things that I thought were interesting, they have a 'pool' that has sting rays that you can touch if you want to, they have a little play area thing that the kids can crawl through but it has fish tanks built into it, they had a gift shop, and the halls were nice and wide to accommodate strollers. It is a very kid friendly place.

.
After we visited the aquarium we visited Zach's family for a while then they watched Boky while we went to my favorite restaraunt...

Joe's Crab Shack!! It was a very good meal! I got the crab daddy feast and Zach got the Chesapeake steam pot. I even wore my bib :} Then after we got done eating we went shopping and got a few Easter things. It was a good night.

Thanks to everyone who called, texted, or sent a card! Glad you were thinking of us!

Disney on Ice...

Yesterday we headed to Salt Lake but this time we were doing more than just visiting family, we had tickets to:

"Disney on Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic"

Mark and Tammy dropped us off at the Energy Solutions Arena around 1810 (which was nice because we didn't have to walk far or pay for parking) and Brooklyn was just waking up from a nap. I was really nervous that she would be a grouch through the entire thing but she did extremely well for a one year old.

When we got there we wanted to find our seats to be sure we wouldn't get lost. We were front and center and only 20 rows from the floor. They were perfect seats.
This Picture isn't the greatest but it shows the mood Brooklyn was in...
SILLY!!

While we were there she tried to kiss the lady to the left of us at least three times before she decided she wanted the lady's popcorn. (The lady was really nice about it thank goodness) The only other problem we had was when she pulled the hair of the mom that sat in front of us because she couldn't reach the little boys head!!! She also enjoyed looking at the little girls behind us twirling like princesses during the intermission.

This was the opening act and Brooklyn was enthralled. She kept clapping and clapping it was very cute.

Here are a few more pictures of Disney on Ice:

Over all we had a blast. Brooklyn sat through all of it but the last 10 minutes and those last ten minutes we spent "shopping." Zach bought her a Minnie stuffed animal, a flashing light crown, and a slushy. She had a ball and it was fun to be able to have a family outing that went so well. I would highly recommend this to all of you!!
