Just a quick blog about our stinking car!!!
When we were on our way home last time from Salt Lake our check engine light came on. We took it over for my dad (the mechanic) to take a look and see what he thought it was. Well, when we were in SLC Zach put the highest grade of fuel in the car and we normally do a blend at Maverick, so my dad thought that maybe the gas was causing a problem. So they put gas dryer or something like that in and the light went off. Then a few days later it came on again. This time the car was acting weird the RPM's were all weird and it sounded like crap.
Today we took it over to Murdock Suzuki and they took a look at it. After waiting an hour they came into the little waiting room and told us what they think happened. A mosquito was melted to the MAF sensor. They think that the last time the air filter was checked the mosquito got in there then melted and thus the car problems. So they checked the air filtering system and no holes, that means we're good.
The bonus for waiting an hour is that they vacuumed the inside and washed the outside. It runs like new and almost looks new too!!

sounds like you need mosquito spray
Don't you just hate car issues? Sometimes I would be fine if we all had horses and buggies again. But I guess if your horse breaks down you have to shoot it and then eat it. Hm, I suppose I'll have to rethink that theory.
Love ya lots...

I know the frustration of vehicle problems!! We just spent $600 on Johnn's truck after breaking down in Tremonton and missing a bbq last weekend and my almost new car needs the air conditioner fixed!! GGGRRRR....... Of course we are not under warrenty anymore! I am glad your car was ok. That is kinda a funny thing to happen when you look back on it! love your guts!
I am happy that it was that easy to fix car trouble can be expensive and not alot of fun. Thank goodness for waranty's
